Poker Enthusiasts Introduce Uncensored Poker Tournament Sequence in Tallinn Following the Shutdown of a Swedish Casino

A riveting poker event is gearing up in Tallinn with a player-centric approach! The first-ever No Filter Poker Series goes down from June 12 to 15 at the lavish Olympic Park Casino.

Rumors had circulated about the closure of the only licensed Swedish casino, Cosmopol Casino, sending shockwaves through the Swedish poker community. A potential disaster was on the horizon, with the cancellation of the Swedish Championship in June and the impending shutdown of regulated avenues for poker in Sweden.

In response to these troubling rumors, Mounir Tajiou and Michel Karim, a savvy Swedish duo, started planning their poker festival in Tallinn. With the recent confirmation of the casino's closure, poker enthusiasts are set for a packed house as chips fly, friendships bloom, and laughter echoes on the casino floor.

The festival offers six pulsating poker events, with the two-day €1,100 No Filter Main Event taking center stage on June 13-14. A variety of cash games across diverse games and stakes will also be available around the clock. As a unique touch, No Filter Poker opted to forgo poker events on Saturday evening and instead host a player's party - another chance for creating unforgettable memories.

Tajiou and Karim had a blissful experience at the 2025 Kings of Tallinn, with Tajiou earning €115,000 as runner-up to Latvia's Kaspars Butans. Another deep run was in store for Tajiou at the same festival, finishing in 11th place in the €555 NLH Championship for €4,700. Meanwhile, Karim clinched a haul of €41,650 as runner-up to Benyamin Canatan. The Kings of Tallinn set the stage for Sweden GPI Player of the Year, with Tajiou taking the lead and Karim entering the top five.

After the robbery at one Swedish poker club, safety and regulatory oversight have become major concerns. Recognizing the need for a secure space to host poker events, Tajiou approached Olympic Entertainment Group with the proposal for a new event in Tallinn. With player satisfaction as its top priority, No Filter Poker Series at Olympic Park Casino promises an amazing poker experience - from the outstanding staff to dedicated player hosts navigating those in town for the weekend.
