PokerStars Restarts North American Poker Tour in Autumn

In a thrilling turn of events, PokerStars is reviving the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) with a bang! Gear up for an unparalleled poker series that's set to rock Resorts World Las Vegas from the 4th to the 12th of November this year. This electrifying event is poised to ignite the poker scene, preluding the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on the 18th of November, with PokerStars' trusty partner, Oracle Red Bull Racing, in the race.

The NAPT lineup boasts some jaw-dropping events:

  1. A high-stakes contest with a $5,300 buy-in (from Nov. 10-12)
  2. A fiery PokerStars Cup event at $550 (from Nov. 9-12)
  3. The main event with a $1,650 buy-in, promising a glittering showdown (from Nov. 6-11)

Steve Preiss, VP for PokerStars North America, can barely contain his excitement, "Can't wait to spark up the rebooted NAPT in Las Vegas! This series is going to be a smashing hit for North America's poker fanatics."

Cast your mind back to 2010: the NAPT made its grand entrance. The pièce de résistance was the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Barry Shulman from Card Player nabbed a respectable third place, while Harrison Gimbel bagged an impressive $2.2 million in the $10,300 buy-in tournament.

PokerStars had to put the NAPT on hold during its second season due to the US poker shutdown post Black Friday. While the first season saw seven events, the second season managed only three before taking a 12-year break. But with the relaunch, the NAPT is back and better than ever!
