Police are currently seeking individuals who may have observed or have information regarding a particular incident in Poland.

Fire Investigation on Usedom Island Continues

A forest fire that occurred on the island of Usedom on August 18, 2025, is currently under investigation by the police on suspicion of arson.

The incident took place around 21:45 between Schmollensee and Großer Krebssee. Emergency services from the fire department and police attended the scene, and the fire was successfully extinguished to prevent it from spreading further. However, the burned area was approximately 100 square meters, and the fire caused property damage of an unknown amount.

The police are seeking witnesses in connection with the fire investigation. Witnesses who observed the incident at the crime scene are asked to contact the police in Heringsdorf at 038378 279-0.
