Police are seeking out individuals who might have seen or have information about a specific incident.
In the small municipality of Oberdachstetten, located within the district of Ansbach, a shocking incident occurred on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. At approximately 17:40, an unknown individual threw a large stone at a passing freight train, striking the windshield at the level of the train driver.
The train, en route from Aschaffenburg to Salzburg, was momentarily halted in the Lehrberg area. Following the incident, patrol units from the Federal Police and the Police Inspectorate Rothenburg ob der Tauber began investigations at the scene.
The train driver sustained minor injuries from the glass fragments, but thankfully, no serious harm was reported. The police are appealing for public assistance to solve this case, and have set up a dedicated hotline at 0911 2112 - 3333 for tips regarding the incident.
The identity of the perpetrator remains unknown, and initial efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect have been unsuccessful. The railway line in the affected area has been temporarily closed for the investigation.
