Police Find Remains of 2021 Missing Casino Patron in Washington

Washington authorities have confirmed the identification of a man found in a submerged truck, who went missing from a local casino three years ago. Terry "TJ" Shinaver disappeared on April 30, 2021, after visiting the ilani Casino Resort.

The Cowlitz County Coroner's Office has determined that the cause of death was accidental drowning. A tow truck driver discovered the submerged vehicle approximately six miles from the casino, whilst searching for another vehicle. Authorities used Shinaver's dental records for identification.

The circumstances surrounding how Shinaver ended up in the water remain unclear, with no indications of involvement from anybody else. The St. Helens Police Department had been conducting a missing persons investigation to shed light on Shinaver's disappearance.

In an investigation into disappearance cases, authorities typically follow these steps: initiate a report, gather evidence, analyze forensic evidence, appeal for public information, and collaborate with other agencies. However, additional details about this specific incident are currently not available.

The general news of Terry "TJ" Shinaver's identification after three years has raised questions about his disappearance from the ilani Casino Resort in crime and justice. Despite the Cowlitz County Coroner's Office determining his cause of death as accidental drowning, the circumstances surrounding how he ended up in the water remain unclear.
