Police in Bochum alert public: Rise in home break-ins reported by the Bochum police headquarters
The Bochum Police have issued a document aimed at combating residential burglaries in several districts, as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure citizens feel safe in their homes. The document, titled "36.KW_WED-Radar_29.08.2025-04.09.2025.pdf", was released between August 29, 2025, and September 4, 2025.
The document, which is 4.2 MB in size, provides an overview map of residential burglaries from the past week in the individual districts. However, due to data protection reasons, the exact locations of the burglary sites are not mapped.
The Bochum Police are urging citizens to secure their homes and be alert in the fight against residential burglaries. They hope that citizens will engage more with the topic when they see a burglary has occurred in their neighbourhood.
The document was issued in collaboration with the cities of Bochum, Herne, and Witten. The Bochum Police Press Office can be contacted at Jens Artschwager, Telephone: 0234 909 1023, Email: [email protected].
