Police in Morocco (848) report an incident where a man was assaulted and fought back, leading to his arrest.

In the early hours of Saturday, August 30, 2025, a disturbing incident occurred in the southeastern part of Nuremberg. A man was viciously attacked in Grosse Straße, leaving him with injuries to his upper body and head. The victim was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the attackers were two individuals, aged 37 and 39. The 39-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after the incident, following an alert call to the police. The 37-year-old suspect, however, resisted arrest, causing a policewoman to sustain injuries.

The investigating judge at Nuremberg Local Court issued a detention order against the 39-year-old suspect. The public prosecutor's office in Nuremberg-Fürth has applied for detention against both suspects. The 37-year-old suspect did not receive a specific detention order from the public prosecutor's office.

The Nürnberg-Fürth Public Prosecutor's Office is leading the investigation into this case. They filed a detention request and the suspects were presented to the investigative judge at the Nuremberg District Court. Both suspects will have to answer to charges, including suspected dangerous bodily harm.

The injured policewoman was unable to continue her shift due to the injuries sustained during the arrest of the 37-year-old suspect. The victim's identity has not been disclosed at this time.

The Bavarian Police Headquarters Mittelfranken Press Office can be contacted for further inquiries. Their contact information can be found on their website, or you can reach them by phone during specific hours. Alternatively, you can send an email to [email protected].

The suspects will remain in custody pending further investigation and trial. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
