Police in North Rhine-Westphalia intercept and recover a stolen e-scooter after it was driven through the main train station by unknown individuals. The federal police took control of the situation.

In an unusual incident that took place on Sunday evening, a 26-year-old Romanian man was targeted by the Federal Police at the main train station in Paderborn. The man, who hails from Borchen, was operating an e-scooter that was reported stolen.

According to available sources, the e-scooter's owner is a 55-year-old man from Salzkotten. The individual claimed to have borrowed the scooter from a friend. The e-scooter was seized by the Federal Police and listed for property recovery.

The incident occurred at the busy main train station in Paderborn. The e-scooter was returned to its owner later that evening in Sankt Augustin. However, the Romanian man now faces charges of receiving stolen goods.

For further information on the incident, members of the press are encouraged to contact the Press Office of the Federal Police Inspectorate Münster or the Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin. It is hoped that this incident serves as a reminder to always ensure that personal property is secure, especially in busy public areas.
