Police in Schwaben Nord apprehend e-scooter riders found under the influence of drugs
In the early hours of April 3, 2025, a remarkable incident unfolded in Lechhausen, Augsburg. At around 1:45 AM, a 25-year-old individual was found driving an E-scooter under the influence of cannabis.
The police patrol, on duty during a traffic control, noticed drug-related behaviour from the individual. They stopped the individual on Neuburger Straße to prevent further action.
Following the incident, a drug test was conducted on the individual, which came back positive for cannabis. Arrangements have been made for a blood test to be conducted as well.
The investigation is being carried out by the Bavaria Police Headquarters North, with Enno Treumann, the head of the Traffic Directorate of the Hamburg Police, overseeing the case.
