Police Officers Faced Resistance in Neumühl/Obermarxloh

In two separate incidents in the city of Duisburg, criminal proceedings have been initiated against a 34-year-old and a 43-year-old man.

The first incident occurred in Neumühl at 19:15, where the 34-year-old man was recorded filming police officers with his phone from a close proximity. Despite repeated requests, the man continued to film, causing a disturbance. When the officers tried to establish his identity, the man resisted significantly. The officers subsequently restrained him, and a breathalyzer test conducted on the man came back positive.

Around 23:25 in Obermarxloh, the 43-year-old man hit a bollard on Borussiastraße without reporting the accident. During the investigation, it was suspected that the man was under the influence of alcohol. The man resisted the procedure, insulted the officers, and spat in their direction. He was taken into custody and spent the night in custody.

During the operation in Obermarxloh, it was also suspected that the man was under the influence of alcohol. The man smelled of alcohol during the operation in Neumühl. A blood sample was taken from the 34-year-old man, upon the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Duisburg. The public prosecutor who ordered the blood test for the 43-year-old man in the Obermarxloh incident is not mentioned in the available search results.

In both incidents, the responding officers were not harmed. The 34-year-old man was taken to the Hamborn station, and the 43-year-old man was not reported to have shown any "ChatGPT entry" on his phone claiming exemption from identifying himself.

Both incidents are currently under investigation, and it is unclear at this time what charges the men will face. It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
