Police President Reiner Hamm celebrates exceptional performances and accepts 46 new recruits into the police force.
New Police Commissioners Sworn In at Mainz Police Headquarters
In a ceremony held at the Mainz Police Headquarters last Monday, 46 newcomers were appointed as Police Commissioners and Police Commissioners. These officers were transferred to PP Mainz and assigned to various departments within its area of responsibility, including the Traffic and Criminal Directorates.
Reiner Hamm, the Police President, presided over the ceremony. He welcomed the new officers and encouraged them to take pride in their chosen profession of serving and protecting citizens. Hamm also acknowledged the challenges and unusual situations police officers face daily, and he particularly honoured those who risked their own safety to rescue people from desperate situations.
Hamm presented certificates and small gifts to recognize the officers' achievements. He also mentioned that these rescue attempts don't always succeed, and officers often face death and suffering. The event was attended by representatives of the works council and the equal opportunities officer, who also welcomed the new officers.
Reiner Hamm also honoured 12 police officers who had shown exceptional courage and dedication in their duties. These officers were recognised for their contributions to the community, and their bravery in the face of danger.
