Police Statement on Brake – August 25, 31:

In the early hours of August 31, a disturbing incident took place at the Ovelgönne horse market in Delmenhorst. A 32-year-old man from Brake allegedly used pepper spray in a festival tent, causing 18 people to suffer light injuries.

The incident occurred around 00:20, and the suspect was swiftly identified by witnesses at the scene. The police initiated investigations for dangerous bodily harm, and the Oldenburg Public Prosecutor's Office ordered a blood sample to be taken from the suspect.

The weapon used was found in the suspect's possession, but the reason behind his actions remains unclear according to police. As a result of the incident, some of the injured individuals received medical treatment. The festival tent was operational again after approximately 30 minutes of ventilation.
