The South East Hesse Police Autobahn Station was officially inaugurated in Hanau, Germany, marking a significant milestone in the new security architecture of the region. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including Roman Poseck, the Hessian Minister of the Interior, Claus Kaminsky, the Mayor of Hanau, and Daniel Muth, the Police President of South East Hesse.

The inauguration ceremony symbolically marked the completion of the implementation of the new security concept, which was presented in March. The new station, responsible for around 330 kilometers of motorways and motorway-like federal roads, including the A 66 between Schlüchtern and Frankfurt, and a section of the A 3, is expected to improve traffic connections and operational strength, benefiting all road users.

With the inauguration, Police Commissioner Timo Rosenberger takes over from Senior Police Commissioner Christian Kreß, who is retiring. Commissioner Rosenberger will head the South Hesse Highway Police Station, a role that comes with additional responsibilities and expectations.

As part of the new security architecture, each police station in Bad Orb, Schlüchtern, and Hanau now has a dedicated community officer. In Hanau, two more community officers have been added to the two already active ones. Through targeted adjustments and additional personnel, there is now an additional radio patrol car in operation around the clock at both the Gelnhausen and Schlüchtern police stations.

The new security architecture is designed to increase presence and create a more community-oriented police structure. This approach aims to foster better relations between the police and the public, ensuring a safer and more secure environment for all.

For further inquiries, the South Hesse Police Headquarters can be contacted at Spessartring 61, 63071 Offenbach am Main. The press office contact details are also available at the headquarters.

The exact date of the inauguration was not disclosed in the available information. However, it is clear that this is a significant step forward in the development of the South East Hesse Police Headquarters' security architecture, with the new Autobahn Police Station set to play a crucial role in maintaining law and order on the region's roads.

The South East Hesse Autobahn Police handles a wide range of tasks annually, including recording around 2,000 accidents. With the new station in operation, it is hoped that these numbers will decrease, ensuring a safer journey for all road users.
