Position: Project Officer - Active Journeys Wales

Cymru is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join its team as a Project Officer for the Active Journeys Programme in North West Wales. The role, focusing on behaviour change and engagement activities in schools, offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and manage their workload, and the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Experience leading physical activity or behavior change projects within schools, workplaces, or communities is essential.
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach, with the ability to engage and support lesser heard voices in the community, is desired.

Working Environment

  • The role requires experience working on projects within an established project management framework and within a Welsh Language environment.
  • Candidates are asked to demonstrate their knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and relevant knowledge of North West Wales and its diverse range of communities.
  • The Active Journeys Programme at Cymru, which delivered behaviour change and engagement activities in schools in North West Wales, was managed by a Project Officer recruited specifically for that role. The position was associated with Sustrans Cymru, focusing on physical activity and behaviour change projects within schools and communities in that region.
