Powerful parade of electric vehicles travels across the Rhineland
The Rhineland is set to host an exciting event this September, as the e-Cross Germany returns for its 16th round on the 7th and 8th. This two-day extravaganza promises a blend of thrilling races, informative discussions, and hands-on experiences, all focused on electric mobility.
The event kicks off on Saturday, September 7th, at 10:00 AM, with Round 16 of "e-Cross Germany" taking centre stage. Over 70 teams and ten e-bikers will be participating, showcasing their skills on scenic routes that wind through Hilden, Wuppertal, and back to Düsseldorf.
For those interested in electric vehicles, the "Day of Electric Mobility" is not to be missed. Held at the Rheinuferpromenade, this event will feature a variety of electric mobility options, including cars, bikes, and scooters. Visitors will have the opportunity to test drive these vehicles, getting a firsthand feel for the future of transportation.
The "Day of Electric Mobility" will also play host to an expert panel discussion on electric mobility. Representatives from politics, business, and NRW Minister of Economics Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart will participate in this discussion, sharing insights and perspectives on the electric mobility topic in Düsseldorf. The discussion is scheduled for Saturday from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM on the e-Cross Germany stage.
In addition to the races and discussions, the e-Cross Germany Fun Park offers a unique experience for little electric vehicle enthusiasts. They can participate in races with remote-controlled cars, allowing them to join in the excitement of the event.
Visitors can also test "eddy" e-scooters provided by the city of Düsseldorf at the Fun Park. These scooters are a fun and environmentally friendly way to get around the city.
The e-Cross Germany event begins at an airport, with the tour taking participants on a journey through the beautiful Rhineland. With so much to see and do, this event is a must-visit for anyone interested in electric mobility and sustainable transportation.
So, mark your calendars for September 7th and 8th, and join the celebration of electric mobility at e-Cross Germany 2023!
