Preparations for the National Games are now finished at the Kai Tak Sports Park, according to officials.

Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) in Hong Kong is gearing up for the upcoming National Games, with Chinese officials ensuring every detail is meticulously managed.

The park, which houses two arenas - the Kai Tak Arena with a seating capacity of 10,000 and the Kai Tak Stadium with 50,000 seats - is under the strategic direction of Tang King-shing, the park's planning director.

Senior government officials are confident that they have finalised minor details for the event, which will take place from November 9 to 21. Hong Kong, Guangdong, and Macau will host the National Games.

The Kai Tak Stadium will host rugby sevens, fencing events, and men's handball events, while the Kai Tak Arena will be the venue for fencing events. The management of KTSP is confident in their ability to handle these events, given their experience in hosting sports and music events.

The lines on the court at KTSP are carefully managed by Chinese officials, and the flow of people to and from the arenas is strictly regulated. Even the angle of rooftop spotlights is meticulously controlled to ensure optimal conditions for the athletes.

The General Administration of Sport of China (GASC) has a set of rules regarding the National Games, which KTSP will adhere to strictly. The park has been tested extensively and has hosted numerous events since its opening in March.

Tang King-shing stated that his team has a "basic plan" for everything, thanks to their experience in hosting sports and music events at KTSP. The team is confident that they are well-prepared for the National Games.

However, no official leadership or organisational details have been announced for the potential Olympic Games in Hong Kong at KTSP. For now, the focus remains on the National Games, with Chinese officials working tirelessly to ensure a successful event.
