"Presidency Terminates Tunde Ednut due to being labeled as a Spreader of False Information"

The presidency has issued a stern warning to social media influencer, Tunde Ednut, over his spreading of false and inciting messages. In a statement, the presidency labelled Tunde Ednut as a "misinformation monster" that needs to be checked.

The presidency highlighted that Tunde Ednut's actions are not patriotic but rather reek of desperation to get clicks and traffic to his social media page. The statement further emphasised that acts like Tunde Ednut's are not close to patriotism or good governance advocacy.

In a separate development, the presidency acknowledged significant improvements in the security sector. The IPOB menace in the Southeast has reduced significantly following the arrest of commander Simon Ekpa. The presidency also noted that hundreds of top bandit leaders have been eliminated over the past two years, and thousands of bandit members have been sent to their creator.

These achievements include the arrest of several high-profile terrorist leaders and the degradation of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The presidency also highlighted improvements in security on the nation's highways, with the dangerous Abuja-Kaduna highway becoming a safer road, with no major insecurity reports over the past few months.

However, the presidency took exception to Tunde Ednut's recent claim that Nigeria is not safe. The Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, disagreed with Tunde Ednut's assertion, stating that the country is safer than ever.

The presidency accused Tunde Ednut of spreading fake news about the security situation in Nigeria by posting a video from another country to support his claim that Nigeria is not safe. Dada Olusegun announced that Tunde Ednut will face legal action for spreading false information about the security situation in Nigeria.

Tunde Ednut was also warned against using videos from South Africa to justify claims of insecurity in Nigeria, suggesting that he is short of the negative content he so much desires for Nigeria to appease his sponsors. The presidency concluded that Tunde Ednut needs to do better and the truth must be pointed to him accordingly.
