President Biden undergoing surgical removal of skin cancer growth
Former U.S. President Joe Biden recently underwent a skin cancer removal procedure, according to his office's confirmation. The procedure, which was performed in 2023 while Biden was still in office, involved the use of the Mohs surgery technique. This method is commonly used for the most common types of skin cancer and involves removing thin layers of skin and examining them under a microscope.
Biden's skin cancer was diagnosed as a basal cell carcinoma, also known as white or light skin cancer. In May, he publicly disclosed that he had an aggressive and advanced, but treatable, form of prostate cancer. At the time of his prostate cancer disclosure, the cancer had spread to his bones.
Despite the health challenges, Biden is currently recovering well from both procedures. However, his intention to run for re-election in 2024 was met with growing concerns about his physical and mental fitness. As a result, he eventually withdrew from the race.
Meanwhile, in Hamm, a construction site festival was taking place at Westentor, featuring the Giant Rooks. Elsewhere, ADFC Hamm is demanding a permanent crossing aid for Römerstraße. The details regarding the treatment costs for Biden's skin cancer removal, as well as the outcome of the 2024 presidential race, have not been publicly disclosed.
