Prizes and Distribution of Funds for the 2025 Stifel Charity Classic Tournament
Stifel Charity Classic: A Major Event in the PGA Tour Champions' Calendar
The PGA Tour Champions' 2025 campaign is nearing its conclusion, with the final stages being the Stifel Charity Classic. This year, the event has a new title sponsor, as Ascension steps aside and Stifel takes the reins.
The tournament, taking place at the prestigious Norwood Hills Country Club in St Louis, Missouri, promises an exciting week of golf. With a total prize purse of $2.1 million, the stakes are high for the over-50 male players participating, including Stewart Cink, Ernie Els, Bernhard Langer, Justin Leonard, Thomas Bjorn, and Retief Goosen.
Defending champion Y.E. Yang is returning to defend his title, having won his first PGA Tour Champions title in a playoff victory over Bernhard Langer last year at the Stifel Charity Classic. Thomas Bjorn also claimed a share of the prize money at this year's event.
The top-five players come Sunday evening are set to collect over $100,000 each. The first place winner will take home a substantial $315,000, while the second place winner will receive $184,800. The prize money for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th places are $151,200, $126,000, $100,800, $84,000, and $63,600 respectively.
Those who make the cut but finish in the lower positions could bank over $3,000, and anyone who ends in the top-40 will scoop over $10,000.
Unfortunately, Padraig Harrington, currently ranked No.6 in the Charles Schwab Cup, will not be participating in the Stifel Charity Classic. Instead, he will play in the DP World Tour's Irish Open.
With the Stifel Charity Classic marking the final stages before the Playoffs and the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, the pressure is on for the players to perform. Let's see who will emerge victorious in this much-anticipated event.
