Professional poker player Mizrachi secures a dominating chip lead heading into the final day of the 2025 WSOP Main Event tournament.
The 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event has reached its thrilling conclusion, with Michael Mizrachi emerging victorious and taking home a massive $10 million prize.
The final table, which took place in the Bronze area, was a rollercoaster ride of intense poker action. The fast-paced game saw the elimination of Daehyung Lee and Jarod Minghini, suggesting that small pairs may have played a significant role in determining the bracelet winner.
Leo Margets and Michael Mizrachi were among the final table participants, with Margets aiming to make history by becoming the first woman to win the Main Event. However, Margets' run came to an end when she lost to Hallaert's flush, leaving Mizrachi as the last man standing.
Mizrachi, who has been pushing a lot of the action at the final table, showed his poker prowess by winning a pot worth over 150 million chips with a full house, beating Wasnock's pair of kings. This massive win significantly boosted Mizrachi's chip lead, which stood at over 75% of the chips in play.
John Wasnock, who finished in second place, also had a strong showing, amassing 94,500,000 chips. The remaining players, Braxton Dunaway and Kenny Hallaert, also held substantial chip stacks, with Dunaway having 25,300,000 chips and Hallaert holding 19,400,000.
The final table played until there were four players left, who will return on Wednesday to battle for the bracelet. The payout structure for the final four is as follows: 1st - $10,000,000, 2nd - $2,400,000, 3rd - $1,900,000, 4th - $1,500,000, 5th - $1,250,000, 6th - $1,000,000, 7th - $800,000, 8th - $600,000, 9th - $450,000.
The setup for the final table included a big screen, spectator seating, and a portable bar, creating an electric atmosphere for the high-stakes poker action. Notably, Phil Hellmuth underwent a security check before playing the $25K High Roller HORSE tournament at the WSOP.
In the end, it was Mizrachi who emerged victorious, making history by becoming the first player to win the $50K Poker Players Championship and the Main Event in the same year. The poker world eagerly awaits to see what Mizrachi will accomplish next in his illustrious career.
