Prognostication: Anticipated Nvidia Stock Value in Five Years Time

Nvidia, the world's largest company by market cap, has cemented its position as a key player in the data center market. The company controls a staggering 92% share of the data center GPU market, a testament to its technological prowess.

According to Dell'Oro Group, global data center spending in 2024 was estimated at $455 billion. Nvidia's data center revenue for its fiscal 2025 was $115 billion, suggesting the company captured roughly 25% of global data center spending for the year.

This dominance is expected to continue, with Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang forecasting data center spending of between $3 trillion and $4 trillion by 2030. If the lower end of this range is realised, Nvidia's data center revenue could soar to $750 billion, a more than sixfold increase in as many years.

Nvidia's GPUs have become the gold standard for powering generative AI, a field that is fuelling the AI revolution. The company's chips are harnessed to tackle a variety of tasks, including machine learning, cryptocurrency mining, and self-driving cars.

Despite Nvidia's impressive growth, The Motley Fool Stock Advisor analyst team did not include it in their list of the 10 best stocks for investors to buy now. However, an investment of $1,000 when Netflix was recommended by Stock Advisor on December 17, 2004, would be worth $670,781 as of September 5, 2025. A similar investment in Nvidia, made when it was recommended on April 15, 2005, would be worth $1,023,752 under the same timeframe.

Nvidia's current forward price-to-sales (P/S) ratio is 20, and the company's gross margin stands at 69.85%. Assuming the P/S remains constant and Nvidia generates $750 billion in revenue, its stock price could jump 265% to $608, pushing its market cap to a staggering $14.8 trillion.

Experts forecast that Nvidia could capture a 20–25% market share of the data center spending by 2030, potentially generating an additional $20–30 billion in revenue from a projected $109 billion market volume. The world's largest hyperscalers (Microsoft, Meta Platforms, Alphabet, and Amazon) are expected to collectively spend $454 billion on capex in 2026, an increase of 26%.

Data center spending is undeniably fueling the AI revolution, and Nvidia seems poised to reap significant benefits from this trend. The total average return of Stock Advisor is 1,052%, outperforming the S&P 500’s return of 185%. As we look to the future, it's clear that Nvidia's dominance in the data center market is set to continue, driving the company's growth and shaping the trajectory of the AI revolution.
