Programming Dominance in Cityscape 2025: Intense Focus Ahead!

Nordhorn, Germany - The city of Nordhorn is gearing up for the Cycling Challenge 2025, an exciting event that aims to promote cycling as a climate-friendly alternative for daily mobility. The event, organised by Climate Alliance Services, in collaboration with various partner organisations, will take place from September 5th to 25th in Nordhorn and the Grafschaft Bentheim region.

The Cycling Challenge invites participants to collect as many cycling kilometers as possible over 21 days. Attractive prizes will be drawn among all participants. Registration for the event is now open online.

The event kicks off with two kick-off tours scheduled for September 5th, one in the morning and one in the evening. On the same day, at 5 pm, learn about energy projects as part of the NVB bike tour, which starts at the NVB Customer Centre, Gildkamp. The tour, spanning 15 km, will provide insights into various energy projects in the city.

On September 10th, at 5.30 pm, the ADFC after-work tour takes place, starting from the ZOB (Central Bus Station). This 25 km tour offers a great opportunity for those who want to unwind after work while enjoying a bike ride.

On September 15th, the City Council tour to the Nordhorn-Range starts at the Nordhorn Town Hall at 5 pm. Registration for this 15 km tour is required via [www.our website/stadtradeln].

The following day, September 16th, at 5 pm, a tour for mental health starts at Quarter, Denekamper Str. 43, covering a distance of 25 km.

On September 17th, at 2 pm, learn about safety starts at the Nordhorn Police Station, with a 15 km tour length.

On September 18th, a nature tour starts at Library square, covering a distance of 20 km. On the same day, at 5 pm, the Kunstwegen Tour starts at the Municipal Gallery. Both tours are 20 km long.

On September 19th, the Tour of the Senior Council starts at Nordhorn Town Hall, covering a distance of 35 km.

On September 23rd, at 2 pm, the ADFC Tour: Heather Blossom in Springendal starts at the ZOB, covering a distance of 40 km. At 5 pm, the Kunstwegen Tour continues, this time focusing on urban development, starting from the Nordhorn Town Hall and covering a distance of 20 km.

On September 24th, at 5 pm, the Urban Development Tour concludes the tour programme, starting from the Nordhorn Town Hall and covering a distance of 20 km.

Finally, on September 25th, at 5 pm, the Final Tour with Grilling starts at Nordhorn Town Hall, covering a distance of 10 km and ending at the Süd fire station of the volunteer fire department Nordhorn.

In addition to these tours, there will be 15 more tour offers in the following three weeks from the city of Nordhorn and various partner organizations. The collected, anonymized route data will be used for a research project to improve cycling infrastructure.
