Prolonged schedule: additional book stops for the mobile library service

This year marks a significant milestone for the city of Osnabrück, as its traveling library, the book bus, celebrates its 50th anniversary. In celebration of this achievement, the city library has announced an expansion of the book bus's services, adding three new stops to its schedule.

The book bus, a mobile library that has been serving the city's districts since 1975, offers a wide range of materials beyond just books. On board, you'll find audiobooks, magazines, comics, DVDs, video games, and more.

The new stops will be located at Atter's "Yorkring 4", Eversburg's "Atterstraße/Schule", and Schinkel-Ost's "Ölweg 23". These additions will broaden the book bus's reach, serving over 30 stops across the entire city.

The new stops will be added to the schedule starting on August 18, as part of the city library's ongoing efforts to expand its services and improve decentralized offerings.

The idea for the expansion came from the city library Osnabrück itself. In a bid to make its services more accessible, the book bus has been modernized twice, and this expansion is another step towards that goal.

For more details about the book bus and the new schedule, visit the city library's website at https://stadtbibliothek.osnabrueck.de/bücherbus. The book bus regularly visits schools, kindergartens, and after-school care facilities, making it a valuable resource for education and entertainment in the city.

As the book bus embarks on its next 50 years of service, it continues to play a vital role in the city's cultural landscape, providing access to knowledge and entertainment for all.
