Proposal Enacted for a Regulation on Commission Matters
In the past 24 hours, several incidents have occurred in the regions of Eschwege, Sontra, and Witzenhausen, overseen by the Polizeidirektion Werra-Meißner.
Last night, at around 1:30 AM, a 39-year-old from Hessisch Lichtenau was stopped and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, with a test result of approximately 1.9 per mille. A blood test was ordered for the driver, and witnesses are encouraged to contact the police with any information.
In a separate incident, at around 6:39 AM this morning, a 22-year-old from Bayreuth was involved in a failure-to-yield incident on the "Roter Rain" street in Sontra, causing an accident with a car driven by a 70-year-old from Eschwege. The 70-year-old sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for further examination. Both vehicles involved in the collision were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away.
Yesterday morning, a side collision occurred on Schwebdaer Straße in Grebendorf involving a minibus and a car driven by a 78-year-old. No further details about the extent of the property damage are available.
Another incident occurred yesterday evening at around 8:00 PM, when a 31-year-old from Helsa was involved in a collision on the B 7 from Bischhausen towards the A 44. The driver, who also sustained minor injuries, drove straight on in a slight right curve and entered the oncoming lane.
A more serious incident took place yesterday evening at around 9:40 PM, when a truck on the B 27 from Eschwege towards Witzenhausen lost a support leg of its trailer, causing damage to four following cars. No further information about the property damage caused by this incident is provided.
In an unrelated incident, a plastic bench was deliberately set on fire on the bike path between Witzenhausen and Wendershausen yesterday evening at 20:58, resulting in its complete destruction. The damage is estimated at around 250 EUR.
A more concerning incident was reported last night at 00:23, when a group of people were reported to be running through the city center (market) of Witzenhausen shouting, with at least one person shouting "Sieg Heil". Despite a search, no group could be found, and a criminal investigation has been initiated for the use of unconstitutional symbols.
In a different incident, a 36-year-old had her wallet stolen between 17:00 and 19:00 on 15.11.23, during a lecture in the rooms of the university in Steinstraße in Witzenhausen. The wallet contained her bank card, student ID, and 20 EUR in cash.
