Proposal for a directive on safeguarding animal welfare and managing animal data collection also requested from the Commission.
In these challenging times, the animals at Assisi Farm in Stockerau need our support more than ever. The popular Easter market, a long-standing meeting point for animal lovers, has been cancelled due to fears of foot-and-mouth disease.
Assisi Farm, managed by the Animal Protection Association, is a sanctuary for approximately 80 animals who have been abused, neglected, or rescued from slaughterhouses. Among them is Pauli, a cat who was once the victim of abuse and locked up before finding a home at Assisi Farm. Pauli is learning to trust people again with the help of the other animals at the farm.
Jagmi, a dwarf rabbit suffering from glass bone disease, and Simon and Peter, rabbit babies being bottle-fed, are just a few of the many animals with their own compelling stories. Lino, a Haflinger horse, is another example. He escaped the slaughterhouse and found a new lease on life at Assisi Farm.
The cancellation of the Easter market has left a significant gap in the farm's funds. Donations are necessary to keep Assisi Farm running and provide the necessary care for its residents. The Austrian Animal Protection Association is asking for help in the form of Easter packs containing food, toys, or accessories for the rescued animals.
There are five variants of Easter packs available: for dogs, cats, and small animals. Sending an Easter pack can bring joy to a rescued animal at Assisi Farm and provide hope, love, and happiness during these difficult times.
For more information on how to send an Easter pack, visit the Animal Protection Association's website. Your support can make a difference in the lives of these incredible animals. Let's come together to help Assisi Farm continue to provide a second chance for animals in need.
