Proposal for a directive on shielding workers from ionising radiation hazards called for by the Commission.
On August 30, a tree felling operation is set to take place on Neuehofer Street in Solingen. The operation is necessary due to the instability of a maple tree caused by lightning damage.
The tree, located at the intersection with Platzhof Street, will be removed to ensure public safety. As a result, the sidewalk and outer traffic lane at house numbers 15 and 17 on Neuehofer Street will be closed.
To minimise traffic disruptions in the area, a rerouting plan has been put in place. Motorists and cyclists coming from the city center will temporarily not be able to turn left into Platzhof Street. Instead, they will be directed via Neuenkamper Street, Straße Neuenhof, and Berger Street.
The rerouting does not change the necessity of the tree felling operation or the scheduled date. The closure of the sidewalk and outer traffic lane, as well as the temporary ban on left turns from the city center into Platzhof Street, will also remain in effect.
It is important to note that the tree felling operation and subsequent closure are likely to cause temporary traffic disruptions in the area. Pedestrians and vehicles may experience delays or detours during this time.
The work is expected to be completed on the same day, and the area should return to normal by the end of the day. The public is advised to plan their routes accordingly and to exercise caution when travelling in the vicinity of Neuehofer Street and Platzhof Street on August 30.
For those who live or work in the affected houses (15 and 17 on Neuehofer Street), please be aware of the closure and the rerouting plan. The rerouting of traffic is a response to the closure of the sidewalk and outer traffic lane at your residence.
It is regrettable that this tree felling operation is necessary, but the safety of the public is our top priority. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
