In the music scene, the band J.O.E. is making waves with their second studio album, "EARTH", set to release in June 2022. The album, a narrative of inner conflicts, deep fears, complaints, anger, empathy, and unity, is spearheaded by the captivating vocals of frontwoman Jovana Wolf.

Wolf's charm has been likened to that of a young Nina Hagen and Rammstein's Till Lindemann, a testament to her unique and powerful voice. One of the standout tracks from the album is "Award Ceremony", a satirical exploration of superficiality, imposters, and consumer behavior.

The song's lyrics touch upon self-improvement through fillers, plastic surgery, hair removal, and antioxidants, mirroring the societal pressure to conform to idealised standards. It also delves into self-display, order, and materialism, mentioning ordering a survey, loan, duckface, and luxury brands like Louis Vuitton.

The lyrics paint a vivid picture, describing building a house of cards with a white picket fence, carriage, cat, and clown, and being neck-deep in dirt. The music video for "Award Ceremony", produced by Dream Film Factory, captures this spirit of our time and its consumer behavior, slapping it back in a colorful, shrill, and ironic way.

The script for the music video was penned by Artem Selennov and Jovana Wolf, while the sound and mix were handled by Paul Bießmann and Stephan Johannes Ernst, respectively. The video features actress Jenny Diehl, with band members Frederick Dathe and Jovana Wolf portraying politicians, a crazy couple, and fitness fanatics.

Some illustrations for the music video were provided by unspecified sources, adding to its visually striking appeal. Editing for the video was done by Alexander Dannhauser, Artem Selennov, and Jovana Wolf.

The music video for "Award Ceremony" was implemented as part of the scholarship program "Young Art and New Ways" of the Free State of Bavaria, and special thanks were given to KM Studios.

With its thought-provoking lyrics and vibrant music video, "Award Ceremony" is sure to be a talking point in the music industry. Catch it on J.O.E.'s upcoming album, "EARTH", releasing this June.
