Proposal for a worker radiation protection directive requested by commission
In the past few days, several incidents of road traffic accidents and suspected arson have occurred across Southwest Germany.
In Deizisau, a 17-year-old is facing charges of dangerous interference with road traffic after reportedly throwing an object at a passing vehicle. The motorcyclist, aged 30, suffered serious injuries in the incident and was taken to a clinic by the rescue service. The perpetrator is yet to be identified.
Early Saturday morning, a group of about five people attacked two men, aged 40 and 42, at a bus station in Esslingen. One of the perpetrators, an 18-year-old, was found in the vicinity of the bus station. Both men sustained head injuries, but the extent of their injuries is not known.
On Friday afternoon, a severe accident occurred on the state road 384 near Ohmenhausen, involving a Ford and a Yamaha motorcycle. The motorcyclist, attempting to overtake the Ford column, collided with it. The 56-year-old Ford driver, traveling from Gomaringen and wanting to turn left onto Mahdachstraße, remained uninjured in the accident. The total material damage to the two vehicles is approximately 25,000 euros.
Another accident occurred on Friday afternoon at 4:55 p.m. on Europastraße in Tübingen, involving a bus and a taxi. The bus driver, aged 43, did not notice the taxi of a 39-year-old driver and collided with it, causing approximately 10,000 euros in material damage. No injuries were reported among the numerous passengers in the bus.
In a separate incident, a 47-year-old driver, under the influence of alcohol, veered off the road with his Audi A6, hit a Kia Cee'd parked on the side of the road, and ended up on its roof. The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by emergency services. He had to hand over his driver's license and provide a blood sample.
Meanwhile, in Rottenburg, TÜ, a negligent arson occurred around 11:30 PM on Friday involving two haystacks on an open field. For further inquiries, contact the Police Headquarters Reutlingen.
Lastly, a serious traffic accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning on Waldstetter Straße in Balingen, ZAK. The police suspect a connection to fireworks set off in the area shortly beforehand. Details about the incident are still emerging.
