In an exciting turn of events, the Cologne Sharks emerged victorious against the Krefeld Penguins in a nail-biting tournament match. The final score was 3:2, with the decisive goal scored by Max Müller in the middle period of the game.

The match began with the Penguins taking an early lead, thanks to goals from Maximilian Hops (assisted by Roope Mäkitalo) and another from Hops later in the game, which put the Penguins ahead 2:0. However, the Sharks refused to let the game slip away.

Nate Schnarr, set up by Dominik Bokk, scored the equalizer for the Sharks, making it 2:2. This was followed by a power-play goal from Gregor MacLeod, assisted by Valtteri Kemiläinen and Patrick Russell, which proved to be the winning goal for the Cologne team.

The first goal for the Sharks was scored by Jon Matsumoto, assisted by Alex Weiß. Ryan MacInnis also found the back of the net for the Sharks, but unfortunately, that goal did not result in a win.

The Sharks will now face the winner of the Iserlohn Roosters and Düsseldorf EG game on Sunday evening, while the Penguins will play the game for third place against the loser of the current match. The face-off for the third place game is at 1:30 PM.

The tournament's first game was between the Penguins and the Cologne Sharks, and despite the initial lead by the Penguins, the Sharks showed resilience and determination, ultimately securing a hard-fought victory. The Cologne Sharks proved that they are a force to be reckoned with in this tournament.
