In Freiburg, on December 6, 2024, an incident occurred that has raised concerns in the district of Emmendingen. According to information transmitted by the Police Headquarters Freiburg via news aktuell, a light grey Mercedes ML was traveling on the K5130 from Bottingen towards Reute at approximately 16:45.
The car reportedly drove in a zigzag pattern and repeatedly crossed the center line, endangering a couple walking along the roadside towards Bottingen. The Mercedes ML eventually left the road and ended up in the grass verge on the right side near the small forest at the entrance to Reute, knocking over two warning signs.
The location of the incident was on the K5130, near the small forest at the entrance to Reute. The car's driving behavior was such that it could have caused serious harm, and as a result, the witnesses and the endangered couple are asked to provide their accounts to the Emmendingen police station.
