In the early hours of Sunday morning, a troubling incident occurred at the intersection of Hornsche Straße/Fabrikstraße in Lippe.

At around 1:45 AM, an elderly man from Detmold, aged 75, was brushed by an unidentified cyclist. The cyclist, who is yet to be identified, fled the scene towards Detmold on the shared pedestrian and cycle path of Hornsche Straße.

The pedestrian fell to the ground and sustained minor injuries. A kind witness assisted the injured man at the scene until emergency services arrived.
