Protesting Disruption: National Democratic Alliance Instigates 5-Hour State Lockdown in Response to Remarks Regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mother

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar is leading a five-hour state-wide bandh on September 4, 2021, in protest against the alleged abusive language used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother during the Congress' 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Darbhanga, Bihar.

The objectionable comments, made by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, were considered an insult to all mothers, sisters, and daughters in India, according to PM Modi. In his post, Tejashwi Yadav allegedly referred to the Prime Minister's mother as a Jersey cow and compared the Prime Minister to a person who supports a rapist, using abusive language.

Prime Minister Modi condemned the abusive remarks directed at his late mother, expressing anguish over the abusive politics by the RJD and Congress in Bihar. The Prime Minister's sentiments were echoed by the NDA, which called for a Bihar bandh to demand an apology from opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav.

The five-hour bandh will be observed from 7 am to 12 noon. Essential services, including emergency facilities and rail operations, will remain unaffected during the shutdown. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading protests in Gaya and Danapur, Bihar, with the BJP Mahila Morcha taking the lead in the protests.

The Janata Dal (United) leader Umesh Kushwaha stated that during the opposition's rally in Darbhanga, abusive words were used against Prime Minister Modi and his mother. So far, the Mahagathbandhan leaders have not apologized for their actions, which many consider highly inappropriate.

The women's wing of the NDA will hold protests across Bihar, demanding an apology from the opposition leaders. The bandh is a clear indication of the NDA's resolve to stand up against such abusive politics and uphold the dignity and respect of women in India.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
