Public battery recycling collection events to be hosted by Cirba Solutions in commemoration of World Environment Day on June 5th.
On June 5, Cirba Solutions, a leading battery recycling company, will be hosting public battery recycling collection events in Mesa, Arizona, and Wixom, Michigan, to celebrate World Environment Day.
The events, which will take place from 9:00am to 1:00pm local time, aim to educate consumers on how and where to recycle batteries. The Mesa event will be held at 618 E Auto Center Dr. STE 111, Mesa, Arizona 85204, while the Wixom event will take place at 4930 Holtz Dr. Wixom, Michigan, 48393.
At these events, Cirba Solutions will accept various materials for recycling, including end-of-life batteries, damaged, defective, and recalled batteries. However, they will not accept e-cigarettes/vape pens and large electronics such as TVs, lawncare equipment, vacuums, e-mobility, electric vehicle battery packs, appliances, etc. There is a 200 lb. maximum limit, per vehicle, of batteries that can be dropped off for recycling.
Consumers and businesses are asked to tape the terminals of batteries before dropping off for recycling. This precaution is essential to ensure the safety of the recycling process and the workers involved.
Cirba Solutions recycles all battery chemistries and formats across its operational sites throughout North America. The recycling of batteries by Cirba Solutions is intended to enhance domestic supply chains and reduce reliance on foreign sources for critical materials.
The company is also committed to extracting critical minerals found within batteries to process and refine them for the supply chain. This commitment is part of Cirba Solutions' broader efforts to promote sustainable practices and contribute to a greener future.
A recent survey revealed that nearly 50% of respondents are aware that lithium batteries should not be disposed of in regular trash bins, but they do so anyway due to a lack of knowledge about disposal. These collection events provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the importance of battery recycling and take active steps towards a more sustainable lifestyle.
By participating in these events, you can help reduce electronic waste, conserve natural resources, and support domestic manufacturing. So, mark your calendars for June 5, and join Cirba Solutions in its mission to promote a cleaner, greener planet.
