In the heart of the Austrian Alps, the FAT International Ice Race played host to an exciting fusion of racing culture and electric mobility, with Polestar taking centre stage.

Polestar, the electric performance brand, brought its unique take on racing culture to the paddock of the event. The Polestar Electric Garage, designed by Dragan Pavlovic, Polestar Architect, presented a challenge due to the short timeframe, but Pavlovic found the process unique and inspiring.

The Electric Garage served as a Polestar hub for experiencing electric mobility. Dan Persson, Polestar's Strategic Creative Director, saw the FAT Ice Race as an opportunity to create thought-provoking, hands-on moments.

One such moment came with the unveiling of the Polestar 5, set to become Polestar's most powerful car. The Polestar 5 was showcased in the Electric Garage, its centrepiece elevated for all to see.

But the Electric Garage was not just about showcasing cars. It was about creating a movement. Shana Claessens, a racing driver, reflected on the experience of driving a Polestar 4, while Sarah Sjöström, a swimming superstar and Polestar Ambassador, participated in a hot lap with Thed Bjork from the Arctic Circle collection.

The Arctic Circle collection consisted of one-of-a-kind show cars, each with specialized ice racing tyres and distinctive white and yellow coats. Bjork, one of Sweden's greatest ever racing drivers, has a history with Polestar, having driven for Cyan Racing before Polestar was established.

The real action of the event was trackside, where vehicles with four heavily spiked wheels raced around the ice. Sergio Marques found his home for one weekend in Jokkmokk, reindeer and Northern Lights territory, as he took his Polestar for a spin.

The event offered a range of activities, including flying bulls, helicopter rides, and special VIP paddocks. But for many, the highlight was the thrilling races and the presence of Polestar in the world of ice racing.

For those interested in Polestar or the Electric Garage, more information can be found on the official Polestar website or reports from the FAT International Ice Race. Whether you're a racing enthusiast or simply curious about electric mobility, the Polestar Electric Garage at the FAT International Ice Race was a spectacle not to be missed.
