Racehorse owned by Coolmore makes initial run for a Royal Ascot Group 1-winning stable, with the northern trainer aiming to expand upon this week's York victory.
Racing Preview: Notable Horses and Trainers to Watch
In the upcoming races at Beverley and Yarmouth, several horses and trainers are set to make their mark.
At Beverley, James Owen's trainee, Gincident, will be running in the 2.05 race. Owen, who is currently handicapped at 5-7 this season, is hopeful for a good performance from the horse. Notably, Gincident is not a stranger to success at Beverley, having competed there previously.
Meanwhile, Emeralds Pride, trained by Michael Dods, is aiming for a fifth win at Beverley in the same race. The horse, who won at the track last month, is 8lb higher this season than its winning weight last year. Despite the increased weight, Dods' runner has shown promising form, finishing only a length away from winning at Ascot next time.
Over at Yarmouth, George Scott is enjoying a successful year with two-year-olds in non-handicap races. His horse, Outspan, will be running in the 2.45 race, and Scott has a 50% success rate with such runners at Yarmouth this year.
Gorgeous Mr George, trained by Dylan Cunha, will be competing in the 1-mile handicap at Yarmouth. The horse has won twice at the track this season and Cunha believes it could improve for the longer distance. However, Gorgeous Mr George's best form has been over seven furlongs, which could pose a challenge.
In the 5.05 race at Yarmouth, Heer's Sadie will be seeking to add to her wins. The horse has only beaten two runners in its last two starts, but new jockey Josephine Gordon takes the reins in this race.
Cunha is also seeking a hat-trick at Yarmouth in the 3.55 race, but his last attempt ended in a fourth-place finish at Carlisle.
Elsewhere, Coolmore, who won the race at Yarmouth last year with Garden of Eden, will have a new two-year-old named Remember That making its debut at Naas in the 1.40 race. Remember That is a half-sister to Rip Van Winkle.
Trainer Michael Dods has his runners in good form, having secured a double at Carlisle and a one-two at York recently.
Notably, Garden of Eden, trained by Dods, went on to win the Ribblesdale at the Royal Meeting this season. The horse will not be racing at Yarmouth or Beverley, but its success serves as a testament to Dods' training skills.
In the world of horse racing, every race presents a new opportunity for horses and trainers to shine. With these notable runners and trainers set to compete, the races at Beverley and Yarmouth promise to be exciting events.
