Rajasthan government partners with PNB for a ₹21,000 crore financial aid agreement

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has taken a significant step towards contributing to the socio-economic progress of Rajasthan. On September 6, 2025, an MoU was signed between the Finance Department and PNB at the Chief Minister's residence in Rajasthan.

Ashok Chandra, the MD & CEO of PNB, was present at the signing ceremony. This agreement marks a decisive step towards realizing the goal of 'Developed Rajasthan'.

Ashok Chandra, who previously served as the CEO of Canara Bank, expressed his commitment towards PNB's 18.5 crore customers. He emphasized excellence in service and customer satisfaction, reiterating PNB's dedication to digital banking initiatives and financial inclusion.

Under this MoU, PNB will provide financial assistance for various development projects of the state government in Rajasthan. This dedicated framework for financing eligible projects aims to facilitate an investment of ₹21,000 crore under the state government's 'Rising Rajasthan' initiative.

As part of this commitment, Ashok Chandra directly interacted with customers under the 'Customer Outreach Programme'. During his visit to Jaipur, he inspected some of PNB's major branches and ATMs.

PNB's participation in Rajasthan's development journey is a matter of pride for Ashok Chandra. He stated that the bank is committed to making an active contribution to the state's socio-economic progress, which is part of PNB's mission to accelerate development at the national level.

The MoU signed in Rajasthan is not just a financial agreement; it is a testament to PNB's commitment to the people of Rajasthan and their development. With this partnership, PNB looks forward to playing a pivotal role in Rajasthan's journey towards becoming a developed state.
