India's Defence Sector Embraces Drones: Rajnath Singh

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has emphasized the importance of incorporating drones into war policy, highlighting their significance in modern warfare strategy. According to Singh, drones have emerged as a critical force in the field of combat aircraft, and understanding their importance is essential.

In a nod to India's technological advancements, Singh stated that Indian drones will symbolize the country's new technological revolution. This sentiment is echoed by the innovative work of Vishal Mishra and Vivek Mishra, the founders of Raphe mPhibr Pvt. Ltd., who built India's largest aero engine test bed and defence equipment manufacturing unit in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

The manufacturing unit, a strong reflection of the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, has been recognized for its contributions to the defence sector and drone technology. The country's largest aero engine test bed is located in this facility.

Singh's belief in the power of drones is not unfounded. In the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, drones have been extensively used. Drones are being deployed in areas where large equipment cannot reach, providing a strategic advantage in various situations.

In the past, drones were primarily used for surveillance and reconnaissance. However, their role has evolved, and they are now being used in combat operations. Countries that have invested in drone technology have gained a significant edge in this field, a point Singh did not shy away from mentioning.

Singh also highlighted an unspecified achievement where Indian drones are flying undetected by the US or China, underscoring the country's progress in this area. He also mentioned that India's soldiers did not kill terrorists based on religion, without providing context about Operation Sindoor.

Singh's call for incorporating drones into war policy is a testament to India's commitment to technological advancement and strategic military capabilities. The reality of today's defense sector, according to Singh, rests on aircraft technology and drones. As the world continues to evolve, so too does the role of technology in warfare, and India is positioning itself at the forefront of this change.
