Rally of Paraguay concluded with Sébastien Ogier as the victor; event characterized by unexpected turns and curveballs.

Sebastien Ogier's bid for a ninth world title received a significant boost as he secured his fourth victory of the season at the Rally Argentina. The French driver, who competes for Toyota Gazoo Racing, capitalised on the misfortune of his rivals to lead the rally from start to finish.

Ogier took the lead after his closest competitor, Kalle Rovanperä, suffered a puncture, and he maintained his advantage despite heavy rain in the final stages of the rally. Rovanperä managed to secure important points by being second classified in both 'Super Sunday' and the 'power stage'.

Thierry Neuville rounded out the podium in third place for Hyundai, while Elfyn Evans finished the rally in second place for Toyota. Evans maintains his championship lead with a nine-point advantage over Ogier.

Rovanperä ended up sixth in the rally after another Saturday puncture, but he remains third in the overall WRC standings, at the same distance from Ogier. Ott Tänak, who has struggled this season, finished fifth due to mechanical problems.

In the WRC2, Oliver Solberg (Toyota Yaris Rally2) won, with Yohan Rossel (Citroën C3) finishing 22.5 seconds behind. Robert Virves (Škoda Fabia) dropped to fifth in the WRC2 due to a puncture in the penultimate special, which promoted Nikolay Gryazin (Škoda Fabia) to third place.

Toyota has consolidated its dominance in the manufacturers' classification, now having a 100-point advantage over Hyundai. The World Rally Championship continues in two weeks' time with the Rally Chile, the 11th round of the season.

Neuville is 48 points behind the leader in the overall WRC standings, despite his podium finish, while Tänak has lost ground and is now 20 points off the top. Ogier's victory further strengthened his bid for a ninth world title, but the championship battle is far from over.
