Readiness for Winter: Homeowners Informed on Homes Prepared for Heating Period

In the heart of the city, preparations for the upcoming winter season are well underway. According to reports, 95% of residential buildings, nearly 5,500 houses, have undergone full checks for the cold season, ensuring a comfortable and safe living environment for its residents.

The city's social institutions are also gearing up for the heating season. Of the 724 institutions, 685 have been prepared, equating to an impressive 95% readiness rate. The Department of Culture has completed preparations for all its buildings to start heating, ensuring a warm and cosy environment for cultural events and gatherings.

The city's infrastructure is also receiving attention, with a total of 1,309 km of heat networks having been repaired, and 16 km replaced. This extensive work will help maintain a steady and efficient heat supply throughout the city.

Mayor Sergey Shelesst has been actively involved in the preparations, setting a task for all sectors to expedite their preparations for the heating season. On September 8th, a meeting was held to discuss the city's readiness for the winter season, with city workers being deployed the same day to monitor the maintenance of the heat supply for the winter season.

Looking ahead, plans are in place for a seven-story parking lot to be built on the Left Bank. This new facility will feature a 'shutter' facade that reflects car headlights, contributing to the city's aesthetic appeal.

In addition, Mayor Shelesst is keeping a close eye on the weather, regularly monitoring the average daily temperature and long-term weather forecasts to ensure the city is prepared for whatever winter may bring.

First Deputy Mayor, Yevgeny Viktorovich Fomin, reported that 50 boiler houses are ready for launch, further ensuring the city's readiness for the winter season. With these preparations in place, the city is well-positioned to face the upcoming winter months with confidence.
