In the world of fragrances, Chanel has once again made a bold move with the introduction of a new variant of their iconic men's scent, Blue de Chanel. The new fragrance, named "L'Exclusif," is a dynamic and modern scent that preserves tradition while also being elusive and awakening curiosity in its wearers.

Olivier Polge, the perfumer of the house and son of Jacques Polge, aimed to express a vision of a masculine extract by using codes typically used for feminine extracts. He achieved this by doing without the sweetness of the tonka bean and instead featuring a complex accord of leather and resin notes. Labdanum and amber notes are combined in "L'Exclusif" to create a contrasting and dynamic scent picture.

Blue de Chanel, launched in 2010, was unlike any fragrance in men's sections at the time. It was characterized by an aromatic freshness absorbed by a woody, sensuous base. The new variant, "L'Exclusif," is an Extrait de Parfum, which is more intense than the usual Blue de Chanel.

The Gen Z generation is willing to spend 300 euros for a bottle of "L'Exclusif." They seek scents that impress, and "L'Exclusif" fits the bill. It is available at Douglas for 193 euros.

The understanding of masculinity at Chanel, as expressed through men's fragrances, aims to surprise and convince with unexpected facets. The ad established an image that celebrates a more mysterious and intellectually sexy version of masculinity - without a six-pack and perfect tan. This new era in the world of fragrances advertising saw a heightened sense of visual storytelling.

Timothée Chalamet, who has been the face of Blue de Chanel since 2023, remembers a Martin Scorsese-directed ad for the fragrance on the New York subway. Perfumes, according to the statement, are better to smell than to read about.

Chanel has continued its legacy with the new variant of Blue de Chanel. Olivier Polge, the perfumer of the house, has presented a fragrance for complex men with "L'Exclusiv." It is a fragrance that is fitting for a man who seeks to express his individuality and sophistication.

Blue de Chanel has achieved timeless icon status in just 15 years. With "L'Exclusif," Chanel continues to push the boundaries of what a men's fragrance can be. It is a fragrance that is sure to captivate and intrigue those who encounter it.
