Green Party Candidates Advocate for Sustainable Future in Willich

Britta Haßelmann and Claudia Poetsch, the Green Party's top candidate in Willich and mayoral candidate, recently presented their vision for the city under the themes "Land.Life.Future", "Animal, Human, and Environment".

During their presentation, the focus was on the situation of family-run agricultural businesses and the challenges faced by small craft businesses. The discussion on climate protection and agricultural land was a key topic, with the candidates emphasising the role of politics in preserving good arable land. They also spoke about how politics can contribute to reducing or eliminating the burden on drinking water.

However, the continuity of uninterrupted childcare for all children in kindergartens beyond the emergency care service of the last three years was not a main theme during their presentation. Instead, the focus of the discussion on childcare in kindergarten was moving away from emergency care and towards transforming kindergartens into learning organizations that adapt continuously to changing conditions, foster professional development of staff, enhance team communication, and integrate parents and community for inclusive and sustainable care quality.

Despite the importance of this issue, Britta Haßelmann and Claudia Poetsch did not elaborate on specific plans for achieving continuous care in kindergarten. Additionally, the discussion on childcare in kindergarten was not directly related to the focus on family-run agricultural businesses and the challenges faced by small craft businesses, nor was it related to how politics can contribute to reducing or eliminating the burden on drinking water.

Britta Haßelmann recently visited the western part of the Viersen district to meet with local Green Party branches, where she discussed the topic of continuous, uninterrupted care for all children in kindergarten. However, no further information about specific policies or strategies for childcare in kindergarten was provided in the visit.

As the election approaches, the Green Party's candidates in Willich continue to advocate for a sustainable future for the city, with a focus on preserving good arable land, reducing the burden on drinking water, and improving childcare in kindergartens.
