Reducing Seats and Implementing General Admission at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas
Resorts World Theatre Adjusts Capacity and Layout for Enhanced Flexibility
Following renovations, the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas will now accommodate a more diverse seating arrangement. AEG Presents, the exclusive booking partner for the venue, announced the changes this week. The updated capacity includes both a general-admission and seated layout, offering 4,869 seating options in total, and a fully seated capacity of 4,561.
Initially opened in December 2021, the 5,000-capacity theater aimed to provide a beautiful and intricate atmosphere for performances. However, it was reportedly lacking the free-flowing, party-like ambiance preferred by many artists. These renovations aim to address this issue by transforming the lower-orchestra section into a general-admission area.
This change will mark the debut of the new layout after Janet Jackson concludes her current residency on Saturday, September 10, 2025[1][3]. The venue will then be ready to host a variety of events that can cater to both seated and general-admission audiences.

In the revamped Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, the lower-orchestra section will transition into a general-admission area, creating a more versatile venue for a variety of events. This change, effective after Janet Jackson's residency in September 2025, will introduce a casino-culture atmosphere to the theatre, making it suitable not only for seated performances but also for casino-games and casino-and-gambling events.
