Regensburg BRK appoints Dr. Heinrich Körber as its Honorary Chairman

In a heartwarming ceremony, Dr. Heinrich Körber, a long-term member of the Regensburg Red Cross, was bestowed the honour of honorary chairman. This special recognition came as a result of his tireless, voluntary contributions to the organisation over the years.
Dr. Körber, who served as chairman of the board from 2007 to 2025 and deputy chairman from 2003 to 2007, began his journey with the Red Cross in the mountain rescue division. The ceremony, attended by the management, Bjoern Heinrich, Stefan Deml, and the newly elected chairman, Marco Kammermeier, saw Dr. Körber formally presented with a certificate in acknowledgement of his service. In his speech, Dr. Körber emphasised the mutual appreciation between him and the Red Cross members, stating that the organisation and its members have given him much in his life.

He also passed the baton to the new chairman, Marco Kammermeier, in the spring. Despite this, he did not mention any plans to step down from his honorary position.
