Regional Hospital in Kamchatka actively recruits medical professionals for employment

The Kamchatka Regional Hospital, named after Lukashovsky, is taking significant steps to improve the working conditions of its medical staff and attract new specialists. Andrei Kisliakov, the hospital's chief physician, is leading these efforts, creating conditions for effective and comfortable work.

The hospital employs around 800 individuals, with over 130 doctors and approximately 320 medical nurses and brothers. To address staff shortages, particularly in specialized areas, the hospital uses the shift method, inviting doctors from other regions to work for 2 to 3 months.

In 2024, anesthesiologists, endoscopists, and surgeons worked on shifts at the hospital, and four of them decided to stay and live in Kamchatka. The in-demand specialties at the hospital include surgery, cardiology, anesthesiology, neurology, therapy, radiology, traumatology, and orthopedics.

To further improve working conditions, the hospital is organizing repairs, educational events, masterclasses, and participation in conferences and seminars for its staff. In addition, travel, accommodation, and competitive salaries are covered for doctors working on shifts.

The hospital's incentive measures also include a compensation of up to 300,000 rubles for doctors who have worked for six months at the Kamchatka Regional Hospital since 2024. Nine specialists who have completed their residency are expected to begin working at the regional hospital in 2025 under a targeted education program.

Five physician interns, who have completed the first year of clinical residency and passed intermediate certification, are currently working at the Kamchatka Regional Hospital under the guidance of mentors. The hospital has been attracting doctors since 2024, with 29 doctors joining in total, and five more in the first two months of 2025.

The hospital's management continues to actively work on improving working conditions and attracting new specialists to ensure high-quality medical care for Kamchatka residents. The efforts of Andrei Kisliakov and the hospital's management are paying off, as more and more doctors are choosing to stay and live in Kamchatka after working on shifts at the hospital.
