Reports emerges from police on September 6th, 2025

In the past few days, several incidents and arrests have occurred in various parts of Central Germany, highlighting the importance of road safety and responsible behaviour.

On Friday evening, just after 21:00, a motorcyclist was seriously injured on the L190 between Werschen and Keutschen. The exact cause of the accident remains unknown.

In an unrelated event, a car was observed traveling at excessive speed on Theodor-Neubauer-Weg in Weißenfels at around 1:30 AM on Saturday. The driver, with a blood alcohol content of 0.83%, was taken to the station and given a breathalyzer test. They now face a hefty fine and their driving privileges have been suspended.

Driving Under the Influence (1): At around 0:30 on Saturday, an e-scooter rider was stopped on Hansering with a blood alcohol content of 0.84%.

In another instance, a car was stopped on Hanoier Straße with a driver having a blood alcohol content of 1.61% at approximately 2:20 on Saturday.

Driving Under the Influence (2): Shortly after, at around 2:20 on Saturday, a car was stopped in Leuna, Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, with a driver having a blood alcohol content of 0.97%. The driver, who did not have a valid license, had also been driving under the influence a few days prior.

Driving Under the Influence (3): At around 3:30 on Saturday, a car was stopped on Ludwig-Wucherer-Straße in Halle with a driver having a blood alcohol content of 2.08%.

In Teuchern, a car was reported for erratic driving and crossing the center line at around 19:30 on Friday. The 61-year-old driver showed signs of intoxication, refused a breath test, and was resisting arrest. A blood sample was taken from the driver, and their license was seized. The person arrested has not been publicly identified.

In Sangerhausen, a vehicle was stopped in Lerchengasse at around 0:15 on Saturday, with a driver having a blood alcohol content of 1.9%.

A more disturbing incident occurred on Saturday, just before 6 am, on Merseburger Straße, where a package box on a supermarket parking lot was spray-painted. A witness was headbutted by the suspect, who then fled with two others towards Riebeckplatz. The suspect is described as a male, German, 18-20 years old, 180 cm tall, blonde hair, white Nike shoes, light jeans, black pullover, silver necklace, and DNA evidence was collected at the scene.

Lastly, a fire was reported in a residential building on Eythstraße in Halle (Saale) on Friday at around 20:45, caused by a pot on the stove. No significant damage or injuries occurred.

These incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of responsible behaviour, adherence to traffic laws, and awareness of one's surroundings.
