In the city of Halle (Saale) and its surrounding areas, a series of incidents have taken place over the past few days, ranging from traffic accidents to thefts and a fire. Here's a summary of the events as they unfolded.
On Wednesday morning, two robberies occurred in the city center of Eisleben. A male suspect, known to the police, was arrested after stealing sweets and a phone from two separate stores. The suspect will be brought before a judge on Thursday to seek remand in custody.
Elsewhere in Halle (Saale), a traffic accident involving two cars occurred on Bundesstraße 100, near Rosenfelder Straße, on August 27, 2025. The child passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to a city hospital.
In a separate incident, a traffic accident involving two trucks occurred on Landesstraße 147, Wettin-Löbejün, on August 27, 2025. The collision resulted in the breakage of both vehicles' side mirrors and an estimated material damage of around 300 euros.
Meanwhile, in the Schwenda district, a fire broke out in a single-family home on Tuesday afternoon around 3:40 PM. The nearly 83-year-old resident suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to a clinic for medical treatment. Seven fire departments from the region responded with 16 vehicles and 90 firefighters, and the estimated property damage to the house is around 200,000 euros.

Unknown individuals have been causing trouble elsewhere too. In Gottfried-Herder-Straße in Hettstedt, garden chairs were stolen from the basement of a multi-family home. The basement is usually locked, but the corresponding key is stored near the scene, making it easier for the perpetrator to gain access.
In the "Pforte" street in Gerbstedt, a wooden fence was damaged by a vandal who broke several slats, causing approximately 1,000 euros in damage. The man was held at the scene until the police arrived, and a breathalyzer test showed a reading of 2.55 percent. Criminal proceedings were initiated.
Lastly, unknown perpetrators broke into two cars parked in the Packhofgasse area during the night of August 26-27, 2025. No information is currently available on stolen items or the total damage. Additionally, unknown perpetrators gained unauthorized access to a community storage facility in Bad Lauchstädt on the night of August 26-27, 2025, and stole several cordless power tools, resulting in a theft amount of approximately 3,000 euros.
