Residential building entrance ablaze in Niederkassel - Bonn authorities assume control over probe into fire incident

A house fire in Bonn has left authorities investigating a suspected case of arson. The blaze, which rendered the house initially uninhabitable due to inward-pulling smoke, occurred with no one present, ensuring everyone's safety.

Upon arrival, police officers found the main entrance door of the house ablaze. Firefighters swiftly responded and carried out extinguishing operations to control the fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Investigators from the Bonn Police Presidency and the Bonn Public Prosecutor's Office have taken over the case, working closely together in their investigation. Evidence of a used accelerant was discovered near the entrance door, leading suspicion to fall on three juveniles, aged 16, 16, and 17.

The three suspects have been identified and underwent the necessary procedures. Searches were conducted at their residences, with evidence being seized for further analysis. However, the names of the juveniles are not being released at this time.

The investigation continues, with the results of the searches and evidence analysis providing crucial information. The specific nature of the fire or the suspected cause remains undisclosed. Property damage was, however, a result of the fire.

Authorities reassure the public that they are doing everything in their power to uncover the truth behind this incident. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
