Residents of Yakutsk face a gas crisis, forcing them to find temporary shelter in plywood structures.

In the cold Siberian city of Yakutsk, residents of several houses are facing a unique challenge: a gas shortage that has forced them to rely on gas-powered camping stoves for cooking and heating.

According to reports, around 200 houses have been left without gas due to the negligence of managing companies. Only about 50 have been reconnected so far, leaving many families in the cold.

The residents of Bogdan Chizhika Street, 20 have signed contracts for in-house maintenance with UGRS "Sakhatransneftegaz", but have not received gas. One of the activists from the street, Galina Blazko, stated that her house has been without gas for a month.

Diagnostics have been carried out in the apartments on Bogdan Chizhika Street, but the address was not found on the list of houses to be disconnected from the gas supply. Ms. Blazko spoke out as an activist in Yakutsk at the Sakhatransneftegaz office to clarify the gas shutdown in her residential building on Bogdan Chizhika Street.

The residents are buying camping gas stoves from the Chinese market, with the stove costing 1800 rubles and gas cartridges costing 83 rubles each. Ms. Blazko expressed her concerns about the high cost of camping stoves and the danger of using them due to old wiring in their homes.

The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, has ordered to speed up the work on restoring gas supply to multi-apartment residential buildings in Yakutsk. The correspondent of "YI" was unable to reach either of the hotline numbers provided by the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) State Construction and Housing Supervision Department: 8 (4112) 34-27-35, 8 (4112) 50-63-91.

The residents have complained to the managing company "Arsenal+", but they have only received a response that a complaint has been sent to the prosecutor's office. It remains to be seen when the gas supply will be restored to the affected houses and how the authorities will address the concerns of the residents.

As the cold Siberian winter sets in, the residents of Yakutsk are left waiting and hoping for a solution to their gas shortage woes.
