Football Match in Saarbrücken to be Monitored by Saarland State Police

On March 8, 2025, the much-anticipated football match between 1. FC Saarbrücken and FC Energie Cottbus will take place at the Ludwigspark Stadium in Saarbrücken. To ensure a smooth flow of events, the Saarland State Police Directorate will be in charge of traffic management.

In preparation for the match, several measures have been put in place. The closure of Camphauser Street from 12:00 PM is one such measure, aimed at managing the arrival and departure traffic of approximately 15,000 fans. Short-term disruptions to traffic flow may occur in the area of the Ludwigs roundabout and the West bypass. The Camphauser Street will be closed in the area of the guest entrance for home fans.

Given the large number of expected visitors, it is strongly advised that fans arrive early and use public transportation. No parking spaces are available in the stadium and surrounding areas, including Saarlandhalle, Rodenhof district, and certain access roads due to the activated resident parking concept.

Home fans are advised to use the access options via the staircases in the "Am Schönental" street (North and East Tribune entrances) and the Grühling street to reach other stadium entrances. The Saarland State Police Directorate will also deploy a drone for event monitoring during the pre- and post-match phase of the football match. However, it's worth noting that the drone will not fly over crowds or large groups of people.

For press inquiries, please contact the Saarland State Police Directorate's press office. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no publicly available information on the director of the Saarland State Police Directorate responsible for organizing traffic measures for the football match on March 8, 2025, in Saarbrücken.

Visitors are reminded to adjust to the changed traffic conditions and leave for the stadium early. The safety and smooth running of the event are the top priorities for the Saarland State Police Directorate.

Stay informed and have a great time at the match! For more information, please refer to the contact details provided in the article.
