Returning to the streets - STADTRADELN 2025 in Landshut
The Landshut district is inviting everyone to participate in the STADTRADELN action, a campaign aimed at promoting sustainable mobility and the joy of life. This action takes place from June 22 to July 12, 2025, and is open to anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or belongs to a club in the district.
André von Mesenkampff, the district's climate protection manager, has initiated the campaign with full commitment. Despite leaving the district office for new tasks, he considers STADTRADELN a project close to his heart and is glad it has been successful in the district.
Teams can start with two people, such as from companies, families, school classes, or sports groups. Registration for the event is free and can be done at www.stadtradeln.de/landkreis-landshut or through the STADTRADELN app. Participants can automatically track their kilometers through the app, which will be credited to their respective team and home municipality.
The event will have a cozy or sporty start on Sunday, June 22, during the car-free Sunday in the market town of Ergolding. The use of RADar!, a digital platform, is also encouraged for cyclists to report issues related to bike paths and infrastructure to municipalities. This service is free and another building block of cycling promotion in the district.
STADTRADELN offers prizes worth a total of €1,000. The most active individual will receive a €200 voucher, and there will be additional prizes drawn among all participants. Teams with the highest average kilometers will each receive €300, while teams with the most total kilometers will each receive €300 as well.
Landrat Peter Dreier is looking forward to the event, aiming to motivate as many citizens as possible to bike. He encourages everyone to participate and contribute to a more sustainable and active lifestyle in the district.
